Domestic Expedited Fuel
Surcharge
The Domestic Expedited indexed surcharge calculation
is linked to the monthly rounded average of the price
for a gallon of kerosene-type jet fuel as published by
the U.S. Department of Energy using the average of New
York Harbor, US Gulf Coast, Los Angeles, Rotterdam and
Singapore. DHL Global Mail applies the monthly
rounded average from the period two months prior to
calculate the applicable fuel surcharge percentage. For
example, the November 2006 fuel surcharge as calculated
by DHL was based on the monthly rounded average from
September 2006.
For every 13 cents ($0.13) per gallon increase or
decrease in the above defined fuel price index, DHL
Global Mail will apply a 2 cent ($0.02) per pound
increase or decrease to the Fee.
